  100% Homemade

  Every dish must be prepared from scratch in your own kitchen. No store-bought pre-made meals, no restaurant reselling, no catering trays split into portions.

  Fresh Ingredients Only

  Use fresh, unprocessed ingredients. Fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy must be fresh — not frozen, canned, or pre-packaged (except for pantry staples like flour, rice, pasta, spices).

  No Frozen Meals

  Meals must be cooked fresh on the pickup day or the day before. Frozen or pre-cooked meals that are simply reheated are strictly prohibited.

  No Wholesale / Reheated

  Absolutely no repackaging of food from wholesalers (Costco, Sam's Club, restaurant suppliers, etc.). All dishes must be your own recipe, your own cooking.

  Cooked Same Day or Day Before

  Meals must be prepared within 24 hours of the pickup time. Leftovers from previous days cannot be sold as fresh meals.

  Clean Kitchen & Hygiene

  Cooking space must be clean, organized, and free of pests. Hands washed, surfaces sanitized, hair tied back — basic food safety standards at all times.

  Proper Storage & Transport

  Meals must be stored at safe temperatures (refrigerated if needed) and transported in clean, sealed containers. No cross-contamination.

  Honest Menu & Allergens

  All ingredients and allergens must be listed accurately. No misleading descriptions. If a dish contains substitutes, it must be clearly stated.

🏅 MEHKO Certification (California)

For chefs based in California (Los Angeles), the MEHKO agreement (agrément) is a mandatory certification that ensures you follow the most advanced home cooking standards. This certification goes beyond basic hygiene — it covers ingredient sourcing, kitchen equipment, storage protocols, and traceability.
